Grant Writing Day Parties

Ever dreamed of starting a business or launching a passion project, but funding feels like a hurdle you can't quite jump? Grants might be the answer you've been searching for!

We know grant writing can seem intimidating, especially for newcomers. That's why we created our Grant Writing Day Parties – a fun and informative space to break down the grant process for you. Whether you're brimming with ideas or haven't quite gotten there yet, these parties are designed to:

  • Unmask the Mystery: We'll shed light on the different types of grants available, from facility grants that help you establish a physical space to project-based grants that fund specific initiatives.

  • Network & Share: Connect with fellow dreamers, exchange experiences, and build a support system.

  • Launch Your Project: Gain valuable insights and practical tips to get your business or project off the ground.

If you are interested, but want to get started applying for grants on your own, here are some key things to remember:

  • Read it Twice, Apply Once: Always thoroughly read the Request for Proposal (RFP) – two or three times! This ensures you meet all the eligibility criteria and avoid wasting your time (and the funder's!).

  • Don't Be Shy, Ask Why: Don't hesitate to reach out to the point of contact listed in the RFP. They're there to answer your questions and guide you through the application process.

  • Time is Money (or Grant Money): Applying for grants takes time. Set realistic deadlines and give yourself plenty of room to write a strong proposal.

  • Free to Be You: Legitimate grants never have application fees. If you see a fee, it's a red flag! Google is a fantastic resource for finding grants relevant to your project, but always be wary of anything that asks for upfront payment to submit an application.

  • Relationships Matter: Building strong relationships within your community and with potential funders is crucial. A network of supporters can provide valuable insights and help you navigate the grant landscape.
